First "REAL"Job: Early 90's made his own fake press pass and began covering wars and conflicts in Rwanda, Somalia, Bosnia, and Asia. This lead to a job with Channel One, a news show broadcast in High School through out the country.
First Network Job: Joined ABC news in the mid 90's and co anchored ABC World News Now, the overnight news. Spending several years there he moved on to host ABC's THE MOLE and THE MOLE II.
Current Job: In December 2001, he moved to CNN (his current home) and covered the Iraq war during the overnight hours. He also subsituted for other anchors and eventually got his own show, Anderson Cooper 360 in Sept. 2003.
AWARDS: GLAAD award for outstanding TV Jouralism for his 20/20 report on gay athlete Corey Johnson. Emmy award for his coverage of the Princess Diana furneral.
